Estonia Finds National Guardsman Guilty of Spying for Russia
A soldier from Estonia’s voluntary defense organization was sentenced to nearly five years in prison for spying for Moscow after he was caught handing over information about the military presence in a city near the border with Russia.
Ivan Dmitrijev, an Estonian citizen, operated drones for the country’s Defense League. He reached a settlement with the authorities following his arrest earlier this year that came after a two-month stint working for Russia’s Federal Security Service, or FSB.
