Traders Are Starting to Bet on Hungary Without Orban at the Top

Hungarian opposition leader Peter Magyar’s plans to reset relations with investors and the European Union after the next elections are accelerating this year’s rally in the forint, by promising a windfall in aid from the bloc.

While it’s too early to say if voters will ultimately back Magyar’s poll-leadingBloomberg Terminal Tisza party at the ballot box in April, the prospect of ousting Prime Minister Viktor Orban is already helping to lift sentiment.
