Banco Santander SA is working on a fund that invests in significant risk transfers, according to people with knowledge of the matter, as the lender seeks to benefit from a surge in demand for the instruments.
The new strategy will be run by Josephine Meertens, managing director for alternative investments at the firm, said the people, who asked not to be named discussing private information. She joined the Spanish bank from M&G Investments Ltd. this year, according to her Linkedin profile.
