Spotify Names Co-CEOs as Daniel Ek Transitions to Chairman

Spotify Technology SA Chief Executive Officer Daniel Ek is stepping aside after almost two decades at the music streaming company he co-founded, leaving the leadership in the hands of two trusted executives.

Gustav Söderström, chief product and technology officer, and Alex Norström, chief business officer, will jointly take the reins at the Swedish audio company effective Jan. 1, according to a statement Tuesday. The two officers have been co-presidents since 2023 and have been largely leading strategic and operational development.
