Unrest raged for a fourth night in Morocco, with youth taking to the streets of more than a dozen cities to decry their government’s lavish spending on the 2030 football World Cup as public services falter.

Demonstrations spread to new parts of the North African kingdom and became more violent late Tuesday, as protesters clashed with riot police in places including the capital Rabat, the southern city of Agadir and Oujda, near the Algerian border.
