BBVA SA announced an interim dividend and said Sabadell shareholders who have tendered their shares will be eligible for the payment, stepping up efforts to sway investors as its $20 billion offer nears its end.

Spain’s second-largest lender plans to pay out €0.32 per share on Nov. 7, reflecting “improvement in earnings and the strengthening of BBVA’s capital position,” it said in a statementBloomberg Terminal late Monday. Sabadell shareholders who have tendered their shares will receive the dividend “as the payout will materialize following the settlement of the tender offer,” BBVA said.
