City of London Elects Susan Langley as the Next Lord Mayor

The City of London Corporation elected Susan Langley as the 697th lord mayor of London.

She will take over from Alastair King on November 7, the City said in a statement on Monday. Langley will be only the third woman to hold the position and the first to use the title lady mayor as she spends a year representing the area at the heart of the UK’s financial services industry.
