The 22-year-old man accused of killing conservative commentator Charlie Kirk earlier this month will appear in a Utah court Oct. 30, after a judge granted a request from his defense lawyer for more time to review “voluminous” evidence state prosecutors have compiled.
“There is a substantial amount of discovery in this case,” Chad Grunander, a prosecutor in the Utah County Attorney’s office, told the judge Monday in a court session to determine whether there was enough evidence to waive a preliminary hearing and go straight to trial.
