Barrick CEO Mark Bristow Departs, Hill Named as Interim Boss

Barrick Mining Corp. appointed Mark Hill as interim chief executive officer after Mark Bristow departed after almost seven years in the top job at the Canadian metals producer.

Hill is currently responsible for Barrick’s Latin American and Asia Pacific regions. A board committee is working with an executive search firm to identify a permanent CEO, the company said Monday in a statement. Shares of Barrick fell as much as 1.4% in premarket trading in New York.
