Vitol in Talks for Iraq Oil Sales Once Kurdish Pipeline Exports Restart

Iraq is in talks with Vitol Group to handle crude sales once exports resume from the country’s Kurdish region after a two-year halt, according to people familiar with the matter.

The involvement of the world’s biggest independent oil trader could help to expedite crude flows from the northern region of Iraq, if a new settlement finally ends the shutdown. Exports could resume at 6 a.m. local timeBloomberg Terminal on Saturday, according to Amanj Raheem, the cabinet secretary of the Kurdistan Regional Government.
