Google Ventures-Backed Insurance Platform Ethos Files for IPO

Insurance technology platform Ethos Technologies Inc. filed for a US initial public offering, joining a growing list of companies that could go public in October.

The San Francisco-based company had net income of $30.7 million on revenue of $183.7 million in the six months ended June 30, compared with net income of $18.7 million on revenue of $118.6 million in the corresponding period a year earlier, according to a filing Friday with the US Securities and Exchange Commission.
