Support for the party of Czech billionaire Andrej Babis, the favorite to win Oct. 3-4 election, dropped to the lowest level this year in a sign that the race is tightening in the final days of the campaign.
Babis’s ANO party would win the ballot with 28%, followed by a coalition led by Prime Minister Petr Fiala with 21%, according to a Sept. 18-24 poll conducted by the STEM agency. Five other parties, including three that are seen as potential coalition partners for Babis, would also make it into parliament, the survey of 1,200 adults showed.
