BYD Beefs Up in Germany as EV Maker Pushes to Regain Momentum

BYD Co. is ramping up efforts to crack Germany after a slowdown in sales, adding senior executives to strengthen its operations in Europe’s biggest car market.

The Chinese company named four new managers to boost sales in the country. They include Christian Lochner, formerly with Fiat Chrysler and Mitsubishi Motors Corp., as key account manager to oversee fleet sales and dealer support, and Birk Pfennig, previously with Hyundai Motor Co. and Volkswagen AG’s Seat brand, who will head retail sales.
