Brazil Economy to Grow Just 1.5% in 2026, Central Bank Says

Photographer: Ton Molina/BloombergBrazil’s central bank said economic growth will slow over the coming year as interest rates at nearly a two-decade high grind on both activity and inflation that accelerated further above target earlier this month.
The bank expects gross domestic product to expand 1.5% in 2026, according to its monetary policy report published on Thursday. By comparison, analysts surveyed by the institution see growth of 1.8% next year.
