UK Set to Be Second-Strongest G-7 Economy This Year, OECD Says

Britain will be the fastest-growing Group of Seven economy bar the US this year, while still struggling to get a handle on its inflation problem, according to the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development.

The Paris-based think tank on Tuesday upgraded its forecast for UK growth by 0.1 percentage point to 1.4% in 2025. It expects a slowdown to 1% next year as tighter fiscal policy and US trade tariffs weigh on the economy.
