Performance Food Adds Activist Sachem Head’s Ferguson to Board

Performance Food Group Co. added an activist investor to its board amid takeover discussion with US Foods Holding Corp.

Scott Ferguson, founder of Sachem Head Capital Management, is joining the Performance Food board, the company said in a statement Tuesday. He will also join the audit and finance committee which oversees mergers and acquisitions and strategic alternative decisions, according to a regulatory filing.
