The UK approved a second runway at London Gatwick Airport, the latest infrastructure project pushed by Keir Starmer’s government as he tries to boost economic growth.

Transport Secretary Heidi Alexander announced the decision in a letter late Sunday, giving the green light to a privately financed £2.2 billion ($3 billion) project at Britain’s second-largest airport.
