ECB Needs December Cut to Safely Reach 2% Inflation, Simkus Says

The European Central Bank should ensure inflation and economic growth don’t disappoint by lowering interest rates again in December, according to Governing Council member Gediminas Simkus.

Without such a move, consumer-price gains risk falling short of the 2% target, the Lithuanian central-bank head warned, dismissing concerns of an overshoot.
