Deutsche Bahn to Appoint Evelyn Palla as CEO, Officials Say

Germany’s government will appoint Evelyn Palla, currently head of DB Regio, as the new chief executive officer of Deutsche Bahn AG, according to two government officials familiar with the decision.

Palla, who oversees the regional transport arm of the state-owned rail operator, will succeed Richard Lutz, who has led Deutsche Bahn since 2017. The officials asked not to be identified because the decision has not yet been made public.
