Angola Rules Out More Fuel Price Increases After Deadly Strikes

Angola is unlikely to raise fuel prices while the government evaluates the impact of subsidy cuts earlier in the year that sparked deadly street protests.

Authorities will consider mitigation measures and assess whether sectors that benefitted from subsidies — such as agriculture and subsidies — have improved efficiencies before deciding on further subsidy cuts, Angola Press Agency reported, citing Finance Minister Vera Daves de Sousa.
