The Washington Commanders are officially returning to the District of Columbia after a three-decade hiatus, with city officials approving a roughly $3.7 billion plan for a new stadium and mixed-use development on the grounds of RFK Stadium.

The DC Council passed the revised stadium bill with an 11-2 vote on Wednesday, clearing the final hurdle for the NFL team to return to its former home. Councilmembers Robert White and Brianne Nadeau voted against the motion.
