Mercury 13, an investment group targeting women’s football, has agreed to buy a significant majority stake in Bristol City Women’s Football Club, its second deal after acquiring Italy’s FC Como Women in 2024.

Bristol City WFC is owned by billionaire Stephen Lansdown, the co-founder of the financial services group Hargreaves Lansdown, who has backed an array of local teams for nearly two decades.
