Freddie Mac US 30-Year Mortgage Rate Falls to 6.26%

The 30-year fixed mortgage rate for week ending Sept. 18 fell to 6.26% from 6.35%, Freddie Mac data show.

• 15-year rate avg 5.41%, down from 5.50% a week earlier
• In a report out earlier this week MBA said the 30-year fixed rate was 6.39% for the week ending last Friday
