EU Supports Namibia’s Green Drive With €1.3 Billion Package

The European Union pledged a €1.3 billion package ($1.5 billion) to support Namibia’s clean energy plans and the local processing of critical materials.

An EU delegation met with Namibian President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah in the southern African nation to discuss projects to produce green hydrogen and ammonia, “alongside investments in transport networks, electricity grids, port infrastructure and vocational training,” the European bloc said in a statement.
