French PM’s Plans Called ‘Vague’ by Socialists After Key Meeting

French Prime Minister Sebastien Lecornu met with Socialist Party leaders Wednesday for pivotal negotiations as he seeks support for a treacherous budget process.

While Lecornu had been expected to court the party’s top brass with new proposals that could include some iteration of a wealth tax, little progress was made in the preliminary meeting.
