China Seeks Feedback on Revised Rules for Polysilicon Energy Use
China is seeking public feedback on revised rules for the polysilicon sector’s energy consumption, as the sector seeks to reduce excessive capacity that has dragged most producers into deep losses.
The revision of the existing rules, which started in 2024, will be implemented 12 months after its release, according to a notice on the National Public Service Platform for Standards Information. Feedback must be submitted by Nov. 15, the notice said, without further details about the timeline.
