Longtime BlackRock Muni Exec O’Connor to Retire in 2026

Walter O’Connor, who has worked in municipal bonds for four decades, is retiring from BlackRock Inc. next year.

O’Connor serves as the co-head of the municipal funds team within BlackRock’s municipal fixed income business. He’s a portfolio manager on funds like BlackRock’s $6 billion National Municipal Fund.
