President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance pledged to investigate left-leaning organizations following the killing of Charlie Kirk, amplifying efforts to memorialize the conservative activist and laying the groundwork for federally scrutinizing political opponents that some administration officials and supporters have blamed in part for his death.
Trump, speaking to reporters at the White House on Monday, said he would support designating the Antifa movement as a domestic terror organization if that move was recommended by law enforcement officials in his administration and said he had discussed a racketeering investigation against those backing leftist protest efforts.
