Nigel Farage has secured the support from another prominent Conservative — this time a member of the Tory’s bench of would-be ministers — in the latest sign of broadening support for his populist Reform UK.
Danny Kruger, a Conservative member of Parliament and one-time political secretary to former Tory Prime Minister Boris Johnson, announced his defection on Monday in a news briefing alongside the Reform leader. Kruger, who had overseen the work and pensions brief over the last 10 months for the official opposition party, will head a new Reform unit to prepare the insurgent party for government.
