Clemson University said it removed two faculty members from teaching duties and fired an employee in the wake of comments made after the killing of Charlie Kirk, the conservative political activist and ally of President Donald Trump, who was fatally shot last week at a campus event in Utah.

One employee was terminated due to their social media posts, according to a statement from the university on Monday. Two faculty members were also told to stay out of the classroom and after violating these rules were removed from teaching duties “pending investigation for termination,” the statement said.
