France’s central bank trimmed its economic outlook for the next two years, warning of downside risks from budget uncertainty following another government collapse.

The Bank of France reduced forecasts for 2026 and 2027 by 0.1 percentage point compared with its June projections. It cited a “more uncertain national context” and unfavorable global factors as its predictions confirmed France’s economy will fall behind the euro area in the coming years.
