Ram Cancels All-Electric Pickup for US Amid Slowing Demand

Stellantis NV, which owns the Jeep and Ram brands, has canceled plans to bring its all-electric pickup truck to market, the latest product shakeup after competitors’ models failed to meet expectations and Congress moved to eliminate tax credits for EV buyers.

Antonio Filosa, who took the helm of the French-Italian-American auto conglomerate this year, is dialing back his predecessor’s ambitious EV sales targets and prioritizing hybrids and gas-powered vehicles, seeking to stop a multiyear sales decline in North America, a key profit engine for the company.
