Octopus Energy, the UK’s biggest supplier of power and gas, struck a deal that may bring Chinese wind turbines to Britain for the first time.

Octopus agreed to cooperate on wind projects with Ming Yang Smart Energy Group Ltd., the utility said in a statement. While there’s not yet a firm order for turbines, the partnership could help open the door for British companies to bring Chinese machinery into one of the world’s biggest wind-power markets.
