NYC Ferry Sees Record Ridership as System Eyes New Routes

New York City’s ferry system saw record ridership last month as it looks to bolster routes on the largest passenger-only ferry network in the US.

NYC Ferry in August saw its highest ridership in a single month with over 1 million boardings, a 17% increase over the same period last year, according to a Wednesday releaseBloomberg Terminal from Mayor Eric Adams’ office. It also notched a weekly ridership record from Aug. 4 through Aug. 10, with over 240,000 total boardings.
