UN Nuclear Chief and Iran’s Foreign Minister to Meet in Cairo
The head of the United Nations nuclear watchdog will meet Iran’s top diplomat in Egypt on Tuesday, their first encounter since Israel and the US bombed the Islamic Republic’s key atomic sites in June.
The talks between Rafael Grossi, the director general of the International Atomic Energy Agency, and Abbas Araghchi will focus on a new framework for Iran–IAEA cooperation, the state-run Islamic Republic News Agency reported. Araghchi is also set to meet Egypt’s president, Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi, for bilateral talks.
