Intel’s Tan Appoints New Leaders for Data Center, PC Chip Groups

Intel Corp., the computer-chip maker that has been struggling to revive its fortunes, appointed new leaders for its two biggest product groups and said Michelle Johnston Holthaus, a veteran executive previously in charge of the units, is leaving the company.

Arm Holdings Plc executive Kevork Kechichian will join Intel and head up its data center unit. Jim Johnson, who’s been at the company for more than 40 years, will take on leadership of its personal-computer chip business. Intel is also creating a central engineering group, which will be led by Srinivasan Iyengar, a senior vice president who joined in June. All three will report to Chief Executive Officer Lip-Bu Tan, Intel said Monday in a statementBloomberg Terminal.
