German Industry Production Rises for First Time Since March

Germany's industrial output increased 1.3% from the previous month.

German industrial production rose more than expected in July, offering some hope that the country’s key sector may be stabilizing and soon overcome its years-long slump.

Output increased 1.3% from the previous month, driven by machinery and equipment, Destatis said Monday. That’s the first gain since March and above the 1% median estimate in a Bloomberg survey.
