UK Probes LSEG for Curbing High-Frequency Traders’ Access
The Financial Conduct Authority is investigating whether London Stock Exchange Group Plc prevented rivals from using the rooftop of its data center, thereby hindering high-frequency trading firms from being able to shave crucial nanoseconds off the transmission of their data.
Low latency connectivity services providers, or LLCS, provide high-speed connections between trading venues. To pull that off, the FCA said they must be able to place radio units close to trading venues.
