Citi Exits UnionPay Network in China After Retail Bank Closure

Citigroup Inc. has exited from a key payment network in China after it closed its retail banking business in the nation.

Citibank China “ceased to be a member of China UnionPay, as a result of its consumer business wind-down,” the US bank said in a statement.
