Chile Presidential Teams Press for Calm as Tariff Talks Near End

Chile’s top presidential campaigns vowed to navigate the trade rivalry between the US and China with a cool head and deepen ties with both nations, just as talks on tariffs imposed by Donald Trump near an end.

Right-wing candidate Jose Antonio Kast will back a “prudent” policy with those countries, while also remaining open to multilateralism, economic adviser Tomas Bunster said late on Wednesday at an event hosted by Bloomberg.
