President Donald Trump announced he’s bringing the headquarters of the US Space Command back to Alabama, reversing a Biden administration move and capping a political back-and-forth after a push by the state’s Republican congressional delegation.

Trump made no secret of the politics at play when he unveiled the decision to move Space Command from Colorado Springs, Colorado, during an event Tuesday at the White House, surrounded by members of the Alabama congressional delegation, including Senators Tommy Tuberville and Katie Britt. He said Colorado’s reliance on mail-in voting “played a big factor.”
