Afghanistan Earthquake Kills More Than 800, Deadliest Since 2023

The death toll has risen to 812, with more than 2,800 wounded, Interior Ministry spokesperson Abdul Mateen Qani said on Monday. The quake struck the Kunar province, which borders Pakistan, and also affected the neighboring Nangarhar and Laghman provinces. Strong jolts were were also felt in various parts of Pakistan, including Islamabad.
