Norway has picked the UK as the supplier of frigates for its navy, in what would be the biggest ever investment in the Nordic country’s defense.
Norway, who is among the NATO members that border Russia, had also considered France, Germany and the US as a potential strategic partner for the frigates. The UK defense ministry said on Sunday the deal was worth £10 billion ($13.5 billion), while the Norwegian government didn’t specify its size.
