US Secretary of State Marco Rubio is handing over the wind-down of USAID to President Donald Trump’s budget director as the administration works toward closing the international development agency it criticized as wasteful and politically misguided.
Russ Vought, the director of the US Office of Management and Budget, is taking over agency to oversee the finalization of its termination, Rubio posted Friday on X.
