Kenya’s inflation rate ticked up in August for a third consecutive month, driven by higher prices of staple food items such as corn and vegetables.

Prices rose an annual 4.5%, compared with 4.1% in July, the Kenya National Bureau of Statistics said in a statement on Friday. That was in line with the median estimate of four economists in a Bloomberg survey.
