Pernod Shares Jump Most in a Year After Earnings Beat Estimates

Pernod Ricard SA shares soared after reporting results that topped analyst expectations and forecasting a pickup in demand as trade restrictions eased in its key market China.

The maker of Absolut vodka reported a better-than-expectedBloomberg Terminal end to its last fiscal year helped by France and Spain while brands such as Royal Stag and Jameson’s performed well in India, according to a statement Thursday. It beat expectations for sales and full-year adjusted diluted earnings per share, and cut costs more deeply than forecast.
