Germany, Spain Urge Breakthrough in Stalled Fighter Jet Program

Germany and Spain’s defense ministers say they are pressing to swiftly resolve disputes over the FCAS fighter jet program and move into the next development phase this fall.

“Spain is 100% committed to this program. We want to see it through, and we will do everything to make that possible,” Spanish Defense Minister Margarita Robles said Thursday in Berlin after meeting with her German counterpart, Boris Pistorius, who supported her pledge on the troubled Future Combat Air System.
