Trump Administration to Take Control of DC’s Union Station

Photographer: Mehmet Eser/AFP/Getty ImagesPresident Donald Trump’s administration is moving to reclaim management of Washington’s Union Station, a historic rail hub just blocks from the US Capitol building that federal officials say has deteriorated after decades of fractured oversight.
US Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy said the federal government will move the station “back under DOT control” to clean the facility and tackle homelessness to make it more attractive for businesses that may want to take over a lease there.
