Dutch Prime Minister Dick Schoof and his cabinet survived a no-confidence vote, easing concerns about a complete collapse of the country’s caretaker government.

A motion to force an early exit for Schoof’s administration failed to secure majority backing from lawmakers in the House of Representatives in The Hague on Wednesday. The measure ultimately failed by a large margin, with only two small parties that hold six of the 150 seats backing it.
