Winlevi Acne Cream Secures EU Drug Panel Support in Reversal for Cosmo

Cosmo Pharmaceuticals NV won the backing of European Union regulators for its acne treatment cream, Winlevi, after a surprise initial rejection earlier this year.

In a move that paves the way for the drug to be sold to patients age 12 and over in the region, the drug advisory panel of the European Medicines Agency recommended granting a marketing authorization following a “reexamination procedure,” according to a statement on Tuesday.
